Steve
Hi there! How can I help you out today?

Is the functionality of the COBB AP for the N55 the
same as for the N54?
Steve
The functionality will be the same, but the maps are
currently limited for the n55
Becker, Manuel
Hi. A well known german Tuner stated, that it is not
possible to flash the N55s ECU using the Diagnose-Slot. Is this true?
Becker, Manuel
We call this slot a OBD II - Slot here in germany.
Steve
No because that is how we flash the n55 platform.
Becker, Manuel
Okay. So you are able to flash the N55 platform with
your COBB AP via the OBD-II-Slot?
Steve
Only certain n55 platforms
Steve
What is the year and model of your vehicle?
Becker, Manuel
Okay. Versions build until 2011. Correct?
Becker, Manuel
03/2011
Becker, Manuel
335i N55
Steve
What year is the vehicle?
Becker, Manuel
03 / 2011 is the build date.
Steve
The build date does not help determine the year of the
vehicle.
Steve
Vehicles could be built ONE year prior to being sold
Steve
What is the year of the BMW it was sold to you as?
Steve
For example I have 2012 Ferrari, but the build day was
Oct/2011
Steve
Do you have the Vin number?
Becker, Manuel
E6139XX
Becker, Manuel
E6139XX DX71 A96 LCSW 3' E93 LCI Cabrio 335i ECE L M
Steve
Bare with me as I look up the ECU information
Steve
Great news!
Steve
Your ECU is supported
Becker, Manuel
Nice :-). So I can just stick the COBB AP into my
OBD-Slot like I know it from the N54. So you are able to trick the ECU so it
"thinks" the file has a valid signature? (just out of interest)
Steve
The Accessport will connect and flash your DME through
the OBDII with our software
