So I have the JB4 installed, and ever since I've been getting the check
engine light and getting the 29F4 code. JB4 has DP fix built-in, right?
Can this have anything to do with the BG 44k I'm using (cleaner you put
in the gas tank)? Or do I have to activate DP fix somewhere?
You turn the auto clear on if desired.
terry isn't there supposed to be a DP fix function though, so i don't have to clear auto-clear all my codes?
Yes, it is option 1/3. Auto deletes DPFIX, detection, and other nuisance codes.
How about having a
feature that temporarily achieves O2 ready status for us who have yearly
inspections? Then we can get rid of our DP fixes for good!
It's pretty sketchy.. We don't want to be complicit in having these
features used to defeat emissions control systems. The idea is to remove
the headaches for race cars not subject to emissions testing. The JB4
autoclear is perfect for that as it can't achieve readiness so can never
be used to cheat a smog test.
